Welcome to EQUIPP®!
EQUIPP is a user-friendly web-based platform designed to help you manage performance information effectively. It offers insights into medication-related quality measures for more than 95% of community pharmacies. With EQUIPP, pharmacy staff can access adjudicated claims data for over 90% of Medicare Part D lives, which can be really helpful for:
- Prioritizing quality measure performance goals related to payer programs
- Enhancing patient engagement to improve quality measure performance
- Spotting gaps in patient care that could lead to revenue-generating opportunities

EQUIPP Data Transmission and Refresh
Every month, health plans and PBMs partnering with PQS submit pharmacy claims data, medical claims, and member eligibility details. Quality measures are calculated, and performance scores are updated in EQUIPP. Users can view their updated performance data by the 15th of each month.

Upon logging into EQUIPP, pharmacies will see their performance on medication-related quality measures. The default view shows data based on their health plan contracts. Pharmacies should focus on the patient populations they aim to impact according to these contracts and performance goals.

The Measure Performance page offers insights into your pharmacy's quality measure score, shows comparisons with others, and highlights participating Quality Improvement Programs and health plans. Access detailed views for each measure by clicking on the measure name in the Performance Dashboard.

Outliers are patients who are non-adherent (with a PDC < 80%) or not meeting measure goals. EQUIPP provides resources to address these patients, allowing documentation of actions, barriers, and potential outcomes. This tool helps pharmacies organize efforts to improve patient care.

The My Programs tab provides performance data for health plans, linking patient counts and performance scores to financial impact. This transparency helps pharmacies identify areas for improvement and potential financial incentives. Each My Program is displayed when a plan or payer agrees to share this detailed information through EQUIPP.

PQS partners with health plans to provide disease management services that encourage clinical care completion. Participating Health Plans can launch pharmacy-driven programs to boost quality improvement for specific patient groups. Community pharmacies can then intervene and gather important patient data. These programs are accessible to select pharmacies serving significant patient populations, with performance metrics and intervention opportunities available via the EQUIPP dashboard in the Enhanced Services Tab.

Final Fill
EQUIPP users can select the trend, data date range, and goal settings to display specific measure performance data. Users should view performance according to the measurement periods that align with either the pharmacy or organization’s strategic approach or performance-based programs that the pharmacy or organization may be participating in. Most health plans and performance programs are focused on YTD performance, which is the default trend selection in the platform.

Measures and Performance Calculations
EQUIPP provides benchmarked data for standardized medication-related quality measures that are developed and endorsed by measure developers, according to CMS guidelines. Adherence quality measures account for the majority of hosted patient data as these scores are based on an individual patient's adherence to their maintenance medications for specific disease states. The primary measure categories within EQUIPP include:
